As I've started professional stock accounts elsewhere and can't keep up with all those messages and requests, I've decided to change the rules regarding the rules of my stock.

From now on, my complete stock here on DA is free. Use it for whatever, whereever, however.

Only one thing: Give credit!

I feel that's the best solution, as I can't answer all those messages and I don't want to delete the popular stuff here, as I feel it somehow belong to DA and the community here.

So,credit me and that's it.

Thanks & Enjoy!

Hi there.
It's been ages since my last entry here, but as I mentioned earlier, my photography still takes all my time and I can't do everything I'd like to. Nevertheless, this stock account doesn't really satisfy me anymore. There's just too many pictures I uploaded that don't meet any kind of photographic standard, which were nothing but snapshots.

Dragoroth-stock will remain online and I don't plan to remove it all, but these shots are definitely going to be removed. Soon.

So, just in case there's anyone out there who needs blurry/low-res shots...grab it while you can.

Cheers,
Stephan

Hi everybody!

First of all, I've added some new stock pictures, most containing rather "wintery" themes...as winter doesn't seem to end and it's still f*****g cold here in Germany it's a great chance to capture some freezing moments...

Secondly, there's something I need to know. I've been thinking about if for a while and I could need some feedback I guess.
My stock's being used at least 50 times a day. The quality of my images is ok, but still not quite what I want it to be, this is actually due to my crappy camera, as my skills have improved a lot. There are some images, or to be honest a lot of images I've taken which I won't offer on DA. Sure, most people ask and follow the rules, but there are also some black sheep who just take what they want, use my stock for commercial projects... (This guy who used my stock for designing t-short prints and seeling them without my permission....grrrr!)

To put it in a nutshell, I'm thinking about offering parts of my stock on a commercial basis, I'll open an account on gettyimages and fotolia.
If anyone wants my pictures there, he/she has to pay for the license and I'll get some money for it.

So what I've been asking myself is:

Would you also be willing to pay for my stock if you needed it (for your job, for private purposes, etc...) ?
Please consider this to be a general question, everything uploaded here so far will remain online and free.

It's just about opening a high-quality commercial stock on other sites like gettyimages and fotolia and yes, earning some money with my work. I mean, I've given away a few thousand images already - for free.
Comments and answers below would be highly appreciated!!!!

Thank you very much an advance!

Hi folks,

after a long abscence from my stock account, I used the time I saved by finally creating an account here on DA for my photography.
So thanks again for understanding my break from stocking.
I've put more than a year of work in it, this is the result:

digital-memorials.deviantart.c…

Feel free to have a look...comments and critiques are, as always, appreciated.

And yes...there will be new stock. THIS year ;-)

Cheers..

I just thought it might be about time to check my messages again, after seeing more than a thousand messages(!) I actually was afraid I might have logged in into a wrong account ;-)

Thanks a lot for my 2nd daily deviation, I still can't believe it! Great that most of you guys figured out why I used that excessive blurring, even if I understand everyone who thinks it's overdone.

As I've stated in my previous entry, dragoroth-stock is not dead. There will be more stock soon, but a smaller amount of it with a higher quality.
My break from stocking finally seems to pay off, my photography and compositing skills are improving a lot, I guess you'll be able to see some reults oon. I'll keep you updated on that, as well as on new stock.

So...thanks again, even if there's no chance for me to answer everyone here.
